It has a central cafeteria where a caretaker of the villa serves you delicious Konkani cuisine. In the front yard of the villa, you can spend quality time enjoying a barbeque party or sit and sing songs around the bonfire.

We welcome you at Sharmishtha to cherish happy times with your family so, on purpose, we have not installed televisions. To add to the pleasures of the stay, there is a balcony opening out to a panoramic view of the Sea, river, lush green hills, and coconut grove.

You can walk along the beautiful winding paths around the village and see the typical Konkani houses en route or can stroll or sit on the Kolthare beach and cherish the laid-back holidays.
You can enjoy stargazing at clear skies which is a unique opportunity for everyone living in urban areas who cannot see clear skies due to light pollution. You can enjoy a rewarding boat ride led by a local operator and can observe Konkan’s rich coastal habitat including dolphins, bird species, and other marine life. Attending a popular Turtle Festival is one of such amazing ways to witness the beauty of marines.
The Turtle Festival is a popular event that is organized once a year on various beaches of Konkan. It is a conservation and protection event for sea turtles, especially, Olive Ridley Turtles. The Olive Ridley turtles are some of the endangered species of Sea turtles. Hence many local citizens, various NGOs, and the Marine conservation society organize this festival every year in February and March. There are some famous breeding sites of Olive Ridley Turtles, on the Konkan Coastline. Kolthare, Guhagar, Anjarle are some of the breeding sites where you get to know and observe turtles in their natural habitat. When the turtles come to the beach to lay their eggs, all of these eggs are relocated to a nest site/ hatchery, where they have a better chance to survive. Once the eggs hatch in a hatchery, the baby turtles are carried to the beach and released.
Watching these baby turtles walking for the first time and finding their way towards the Sea is quite an experience. We urge you to take a break from the usual hustle-bustle and monotonous life and experience some joyous moments.
